Prepare your surface to receive paint with this opaque, matte white gesso. Apply before painting to seal, prime, and prepare virtually any surface - creating the ideal absorbency, stiffness, and adhesion for long-lasting results with acrylic, oil, and dry media.

WHAT IT DOES:
- Creates a matte white, opaque, long-lasting base for painting
- Adds tooth to the surface for strong colour adhesion and stability
- Stiffens canvas and regulates absorbency so paint applies evenly
- Prepares surfaces for acrylics, oils, charcoal, pastels, or pencil work
HOW TO USE:
- Fully intermixable with all Liquitex products
- Use undiluted, or thin with up to 25% water
- Sand hard or shiny surfaces first, then apply a thin coat with a wide, flat brush and leave to dry for at least 24 hours before painting
- For a smoother base, sand the surface after drying and reapply a second coat
- If using as a base for oils, apply 2-4 coats, sanding between each application
- Add acrylic colour directly into the gesso to create a custom tinted primer
- Note: can be used as a dry base underneath oil paints, but should not be mixed directly with oil paint
