Fellow was founded in San Francisco in 2013 with the goal of making specialty coffee equipment that people would actually want to own — not just use. The Stagg EKG electric gooseneck kettle, with its characteristic swan-neck spout and analogue-feel dial, became an object of desire as much as a precision brewing tool. It holds temperature to within one degree, heats in under a minute, and looks unlike anything else on a kitchen counter. Fellow's Opus conical burr grinder followed — a single-dose electric grinder that produces consistent grind quality across every brew method, from espresso to cold brew. Fellow has won multiple design awards and is carried by design stores and specialty coffee retailers worldwide. Their products are made for people who care equally about how things perform and how they look — an increasingly rare combination in kitchen equipment.
