Description

WINSOR & NEWTON PROFESSIONAL WATERCOLOUR BLOCK - HOT PRESS, 10" x 14", 300GSM

Winsor & Newton's watercolour papers are designed to withstand saturation, and this gummed block keeps the paper stretched as it dries. The finished piece is then removed free from any buckling - no taping or stretching required. Mould-made from 100% cotton on a traditional Italian cylinder mould, this paper offers a bright, natural whiteness of archival quality.

KEY FEATURES:

- Hot-pressed paper - the smoothest watercolour surface with almost no tooth

- Even surface ideal for consistent washes and fine detail work

- 100% cotton paper for superior strength, durability, and longevity

- Internally and externally sized for optimal water absorbency and pigment dispersion

- Acid-free and free from optical brighteners - archival quality that resists yellowing over time

- Gummed on all 4 sides to keep sheets pre-stretched, eliminating the need to tape or wet-stretch paper before painting

- Heavy board backing doubles as a rigid drawing surface for outdoor or studio use

- Sheets can be carefully removed with a palette knife once your painting is complete

- Made in Italy on a traditional mould

IDEAL FOR:

Watercolour, gouache, ink, watercolour pencil, and watercolour markers. Especially suited to fine detail work, portraiture, botanical illustration, and smooth, even washes where a textured surface would work against you.
